Marlene Stanley Baczek has a mission to awaken people to their self-healing abilities and to educate them about natural choices which promote better health.
She is a board-certified licensed acupuncturist massage therapist, reiki master teacher and clinical thermographer. She is also trained in advanced bodywork techniques. She offers a motivational workshop called Don’t Let Your Qi Loaf and has developed a unique form of therapeutic dance called “Anna Marlena’s.”
Marlene decided to start writing after experiencing a hiking accident which resulted in a multiple fracture and dislocation of her ankle. After surgery, she contracted MRSA (methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus), which is a type of staphylococcus bacteria (staph) that is resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics. Since this was life threatening, Marlene was hospitalized for 3 days and had to use a wheel chair for 8 weeks. With 9 screws and a plate in her ankle, Marlene had to teach herself how to walk again. This challenging experience enlightened her awareness of how passion can overcome fear and shape our lives.
